Discount Flights To Doha: A Quick Travel Guide

There’s nothing like a trip to the Middle East and if you’re about to book discount flights to Doha, you’re certainly going to be in for a real treat. Now is the best time to travel to Doha with great discount fares for economy class, Business class and First class. The Economy fares to Doha start from just £221 whilst Business Class to Doha is £1472.

There’s so much to see and do that you could come back time and time again, and you still wouldn’t get it all done! But to help get you started on your trip of a lifetime, here are just a few of our favourite Doha attractions and sights that we consider a must-do.

The Gold Souq

Even if you have no plans to buy, you should still make your way to this glittering gold market, which has everything on offer from affordable bangles to locally made trinkets that run into the thousands. Head there later in the day as this is when the souq really comes alive. It’s the perfect place to pick up a souvenir and you can easily get yourself a necklace with your name written in Arabic here. Just don’t forget to haggle!

Doha fort

For sightseeing, you absolutely must make your way to Doha fort, which was built back in the 19th century during the Turkish occupation of the city. It’s been used as both a prison and an ethnographic museum, although sadly a restoration project that took place in the 70s saw a lot of the original features lost.

Katara Beach

Head off to Katara Cultural Village where you’ll find a stunning beach spanning over 1.5km. Lots goes on here so if you’re into your watersports you’ll have a wonderful time, although there’s plenty of opportunity to just laze around on the sand as well. There’s a children’s play area as well, if you’re on holiday with the kids.

Jungle Zone

If the children are getting a bit restless, whisk them off to Jungle Zone, one of the city’s amusement parks. There are lots of adventurous rides, party rooms, arcades and games so your little ones will be able to run around to their heart’s content – and tire themselves out in the process!

Al Corniche

This beautiful waterfront promenade should certainly be strolled down at least once before you head back home. For the very best views, make your way to the Museum of Islamic Art, where you’ll see lots of skyscrapers in the background and traditional boats out on the sea.

Best time to Visit

Temperature in Doha can be very uncomfortable and rise to around 45c in midsummer. The best time to travel is in February when the temperature is at a more pleasant 20C.
