Discount Flights To Perth: What To Do Down Under

Australia is so vast and so beautiful that you could spend your entire life visiting this country and you’d still never see it all. If you’re about to book discount flights to Perth, now’s the time to really sit down and start planning your Western Australia trip. But where to begin? Here are just a few ideas to help get you started.

Visit the Pink Lake

Who wouldn’t want to go and visit a bright pink lake, we ask you? Make your way to Middle Island, part of the Recherche Archipelago off the coast of Esperance, and you’ll come across Pink Lake which from above looks like an expanse of bright pink bubble gum! No one knows why it’s pink, although some experts think it’s because it comes from a dye created by bacteria living in the salt crusts.

Go to Kings Park

This is one of the biggest city parks in the world so consider it a must-visit on your trip to Perth. You’ll get some incredible views of the rivers, as well as the city skyline, and you can spend hours walking lots of different bushland trails. Pop into the Perth Botanic Garden as well – and don’t worry about refreshments as there are numerous cafes to be found around here.

Head off to Cottesloe Beach

This is one of the most popular city beaches in Western Australia so you have to pay it a visit before flying home again. It’s just 15 minutes outside the city centre, famed for its village atmosphere, stretches of golden sand and how good the surfing, swimming and snorkelling is. The waves are consistent and the waters crystal clear – and it’s also the perfect place to watch the sun go down over the Indian Ocean.

The Pinnacles

Nambung National Park is a wonderful place to visit, home to the Pinnacles – rock spires that rise up out of the sand dunes. They’re several metres tall and can be found across the desert in their thousands, dating back millions of years to when the sand was under the sea. This is also a great place to see some local wildlife, so keep your eyes peeled for galahs, wild emus and a whole lot more.

Ningaloo Marine Park

You’ve got to spend as much time in the sea as possible while in Perth and this marine park is the perfect place to do just that. There are coral lagoons to swim through, whale sharks to swim with and a whole lot more besides.
